Adam Smith College staff attend final project conference

Two members of staff from the Adam Smith College, Calum Thomson and Keith Noble, visited Warsaw in Poland recently as part of a Leonardo project ‘How To Webcast’.

This project has seen Adam Smith College’s sector leading eLearning Innovation and Development Unit work alongside an international consortium of academics, technical experts and training companies from Poland, Czech Republic and Lithuania. The project culminated last week at the ‘How to Webcast’ conference in Warsaw where the project’s developments, methodology paper and training manual were presented.

Webcasting Manual Information Disseminated at NHS Conference

After recent meetings, Adam Smith College agreed with one of their leading elearning partners, eCom Scotland, that the company would promote the How To Webcast Manual at the National Health Service (NHS) Annual Conference 2010 which was held in Edinburgh on the 7th and 8th of June. Here they will disseminate information about webcasting and promote the completed manual upon its release.

Adam Smith College joins iTunes U

Adam Smith College joins iTunes U (www.itunes.co.uk), a dedicated area of the iTunes Store that offers free audio and video content from leading educational institutions. Users can easily search, download and play course content just like they do music and movies on their computer or on-the-go with their iPod or iPhone.

Podcasts and videos supporting the college’s courses, from engineering and science to hair and beauty, are available for students to download for free through iTunes U, giving them an enhanced learning experience.
